Yippee – Harvest finished at last, early September…Yields for Wheat were up but we had to dry more grain than usual due to sprouting and impatience.
South West Limousin Club had an AGM and herd visit to see Harry and Jane Parker at Stourhead, Wiltshire. There was a very good club turnout and we were well looked after – many thanks to Harry and family. Excellent tea, shame about the mix up with historical dates on the NT Estate monuments.
The following week (19th Sept) was the National Limousin open date in Hereford to visit the Dinmore herd. The fantastic set-up is something most of us dream about but the day was very interesting, with excellent hospitality once again.
I went to Leeds to watch the world cup rugby match between Italy and Canada – whilst combining the trip to drop belongs to daughter 4 – Steph- at Uni.
Dan spent a few weeks ploughing and drilling – a settled dry spell made this straightforward, thankfully.
