During the month we have managed to get up to date with all autumn jobs – calves weaned, stock wormed and treated for fluke, dry cows settled on stubble turnips and the Keenan feeder is back in action again ….
Having made the decision to cease potato production I am now trying to sell the machinery and associated equipment. Some wooden crates have left the yard but I fear I will have to look after the machinery until spring time. Used Grimme Destoner, Harvester, Planter, bed tilling machinery is available.
McCartneys held a successful Limousin Sale at Brecon on the 8th November and I was delighted with the show / sale performance of two young Killerton bulls. Killerton Illinois, a Loosebeare Exmoor son, was senior champion sold to GI Francis, Powys.
The second bull Killerton Ivyleage – who has been shown successfully this year – was sold to HJ Hammonds, Llandrindod Wells. The full sale report can be found on :
