Monthly Diary – October 2015

Patrick Greed enjoys the sights and tastes of Scotland

Enjoying the taste of Scotland

I took a week off to go up to Scotland on a field trip looking at Charolais, in addition to field / moorland walking and checking out the River Tay (unsuccessfully).

I watched one rugby world cup game in Exeter – Italy v. Romania.  There was a great crowd at Sandy Park with tremendous atmosphere – quite a long day

Maize was chopped on the 12th October – with winter wheat being drilled that week and now everything is up to date.

Killerton Herd enjoy a break

What a great 50th….. I won’t say whose.

Shooting season is just beginning – the weather is about to change so I imagine we will shortly be weaning calves and bringing young stock indoors.  All have been vaccinated before housing.

I am looking forward to the Brecon Limousin Sale on 7th November.
