Monthly Diary – November 2013

I have decided to ‘have a try’ at embryo work with local vets.  We decided to have two flushing attempts with Killerton Darcy – dam to Killerton Gucci who was shown so successfully this year.  Semen from Vagabond was used for the first set of embryos, and Crossdykes Goliath has just been used on the second service.  Embryos will be implanted into cross-bred heifers during December.

I attended the Brecon Limousin (McCartneys) sale but sadly trade was not as keen as 2012 with buyers being very choosy and reluctant to spend money – a sign of the times.

Shooting season has now started and the spaniels are getting lots of exercise.  Fortunately most jobs on the farm are now caught up.
