Monthly Diary – February 2018

Killerton Manu

I took bulls to the McCartney Brecon Bull sale on 3rd February and was pleased with prices on the day – Killerton Manu achieving top sale price. Further details on the British Limousin web site.

February has been a routine month with challenging / very  wet weather at times.  Some field work was completed at the end of the month when the ground was drier/harder.

Transport from Alice Springs

I escaped with my wife to Australia to visit our daughter in Melbourne and I also managed to catch up with friends near Cairns.  They kindly showed me around the Atherton tablelands – an area growing bananas, fruits and a lot of sugar cane.  Most interesting.  Weather was sunny and about 33 deg.C. We also visited Ayers Rock/Kings Canyon which is an area I have always wanted to visit.

Bit of a shock to the system coming back to UK at the end of the month.

I am currently looking for a full time  Stockperson  – this is a permanent position with house available on farm.  Please call me for further details – or pass the info on to anyone who may be looking for a job in the south west.
